Post-natal group fitness in Bath

Beyond the day to day physical demands of parenting a baby or toddler, you need to carve out some time to build and strengthen those weakened muscles. I run two programmes throughout the year at a gym within a 10 minute drive of central Bath. What are you waiting for?

Re-Start Mum and baby pop-up classes

The Re-Start Mum and Baby pop up classes are a great reintroduction to exercise after having a baby. This is designed for women who have had a baby within the last 6 months.

What’s included:

  • Babies and breast-feeding friendly

  • Reintroduction to pelvic floor exercises

  • Exercises adapted to suit your needs depending on type of labour

  • Low impact cardio that will help you to get a sweat on!

  • Functional fitness bodyweight exercises with optional light weights

  • Inclusive and welcoming environment

  • Central Bath location with pram-parking, showers and space for breast-feeding

Re-Build 6 Week Postnatal Programme

The Re-Build 6 Week programme is for women who have had a baby in the last 18 months-2 years and are participating in exercise.

What’s included:

  • Mamas only as this is your time to switch off and feel good

  • Focus on transverse breathing and engaging pelvic floor

  • Targeted exercises to support ab separation

  • Progression from body weight exercises to incorporating weights in the session

  • Mixed and varied workouts including TRX, resistance bands, barbells and dumbbells – great for building confidence

  • 10 minute drive from central Bath with plenty of parking

Post-natal specialist

All of the exercises in our sessions are safe for those who have had a baby, with adaptations provided to support recovery and growth for c-section and vaginal births.

I am pre/postnatal specialist so understand how to adapt exercises to the right level.

Demonstrations and supervised throughout

This is a really pivotal time in your fitness journey, your whole body has changed, there’s the relaxin hormone in your body. I’ll make sure all exercises are fully demonstrated and I’ll offer corrections where I see technique could be improved.

Positive mentality to exercise and your body

For me, it’s not about ‘earning’ your right to have a treat, it’s about nourishing your body, so in my classes I encourage you to take on a challenge that is right for you on that day.
